Georgia based Angie Lynn Carter has been singing in church choirs and for friends and family from the time she was a little girl. She has always had a passion for singing country music. Recently she and music veteran Ryder Sanders put their talents together to create a beautiful debut collaboration CD called “Just Getting Comfortable” released June 23 2014.
She and Ryder co-wrote seven of the songs on the CD and have succeeded in producing a fantastic blend of modern and traditional country with a touch of the blues. Angie also covers one of her favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd classics Simple Man but with her own country twist. Her voice has been compared to some of great country singers of our time including Trisha Yearwood Shelby Lynne and Miranda Lambert. She has been named the “country” Stevie Nicks.
I love writing and creating music that touches people. When I hear from fans regarding one of my songs and how it touched them I know I am doing what I was meant to do. Being in country music has been a lifelong dream of mine and the fact I get to do this for a living is such a blessing. Probably one of the highlights personally was when my mother heard one of my songs on the radio for the first time. She called me all excited and said I heard you on the radio! I could tell she was very emotional and so proud of me. That was such a special moment. Shes always been my biggest fan. I also love when my boys tell me they always knew what a great voice I had and are so glad other people are now going to be able to hear me sing. I am excited to finally have my music out there for everyone to hear and cant wait to see where this journey will takes me. I hope all the way to the Grand Ole Opry Stage!”
