Born in Canton Ohio McKenna Loren’s interest in music was sparked at a young age. Her songwriting ability became apparent shortly after making a decision to focus on guitar and voice theory at the age of 12. Her first songs Brought Down and Twelve Hours were written in 2010 and 2011.
McKenna soon began recording her originals with Platinum Award Winning Producer EngineerOtto D’Agnolo of Chaton Studios in Phoenix and performing regularly at venues including Ground Control Gastropub Arizona’s Kidstock Verrado Founder’s Days featuring Big Bad Voodoo Daddy The Romantics and Andy Grammer and the Arizona State Fair.
McKenna’s first single You Can’t Beat The City was released on December 4 2012 followed by It's Been So Long released January 8 2013. Both songs are on regular rotation on LA stations KGUP106.5 and Women of Substance Radio. You Can't Beat The City was 1 Indie Song on WOS in January 2013.
McKenna’s musical influences include Florence + The Machine The Killers Jack Johnson Christina Perri John Mayer and Imagine Dragons.
