M. Jamale Ortiz was born in Far Rockaway Queens New York . His family earlier settled in Marcy Housing Bedford-Stuyvesant Brooklyn. He is the son of Nelson Ortiz and Joyce Martin. As a minor the burro of child welfare system legal decisions put him in foster homes. Bouncing from foster house to foster house in Queens. As in any result he’s always remained in contact with one foster family in L.I.C. Queens most Infamous projects’ Queens Bridge Houses I developed my love for HipHop in that Project His Mother regained custody of his welfare once again in 1993 after she moved to Flushing New York the name Spaz was given to him by his cousin Ronald Green. The name Keyser Soze was given to him first by rapper Talib Kweliand Havoc of Mobb Deep. In the year of 1999 Spaz and his foster brother J-40 created a five track demo at A Touch of Soul Studio and called it I Don’t Exist with a Horrifying Cover. Somehow it got in to the hands of Rawkus Records Brian Brater and Jarret Myer. They wanted to ink a deal with Spaz and the Music Producer from the demo but the producer of the demo couldn’t come forward because of incarceration. Not shortly after Spaz recorded with Bones another Queens Bridge Native. Bones became incarcerated on a gun possession charge so Spaz vocals was added on to another inspiring rapper from Flushing Queens named Native who is the nephew of the late ODB of the Wu-Tang Clan shortly after the success of the development Spaz was inspired by Castle Hill Projects and started to hang close with the L.D. family.
