Nothing Yet is an American rock band hailing from Lafayette Indiana. In the summer of 2008 founding members Zack Wood Alex Farley and Jaron Walsh tossed around the idea of starting a band as a result of late night jam sessions. Their ideas soon became reality and the inception of the band made way. Though much has changed since then the name remains… Nothing Yet. Enduring through the years with multiple member changes breaks countless shows hours of rehearsal and many miles on the road Nothing Yet has began to form a sound and name of their own along with their supporters. In the summer of 2010 the band entered the studio with newly recruited drummer Nathan Allen and guest member Mitch Balschweid to record their debut “Seclusion EP”. The name of the EP came about as Zack and Alex spent the winter of 2009 secluded in the desert of California. These songs come straight from the heart and hit home for listeners that feel alone with no sense of direction. They encompass a reflection of the member’s pasts life’s hardships and are guided by faith and hope. With each member’s perspective on the situation being very personal and direct to their life experiences the listener can connect and feel as if the song is their own and that it is speaking directly to them. Guitarist and lead vocalist Alex Farley has a unique style and adds passion and emotion to the songs through his powerful singing. His song writing ability is deep easy and polished. Bass player Zack Wood has so much inspiration from listening to unsurpassed modern bass players over the years. He never fails to add a unique flavor to the band by adding action and fun into every performance. Drummer Nathan Allen brings professionalism to the band weaving complex rhythms and spot on precision. His unbreakable work ethic is only surpassed by his passion for music. They now look at the road ahead with a positive mindset. Alex says: “The world needs a band that can change the way we look at the world and how we deal with life’s situations.” Nothing Yet continues playing for any crowd that has an urge to find a deeper meaning of life and their songs always leave their listeners begging for more.
