Saltriver is a Bulgarian rock band formed in the autumn of 2005 in Sofia. The first song was recorded in April 2006. A few months later the band won first place in the British PULSERATED radiochart. The first broadcasts of the song were on Bulgarian online TANGRA MEGA ROCK radio and British TOTAL ROCK radio. By the end of 2009 the band had recorded 16 songs. In early 2010 bassist Smilen Slavshtenski drummer Theodore Obretenov and guitarist Emerih Ambil left the band. The founders of the group Ivan Gatev and Peter Ivanov decided to build the group again. In mid 2010 after numerous auditions and experiments with different musicians the group consisted of: Ivan Gatev - vocals guitar Peter Ivanov - guitar Ivo Ivanov - bass vocals MOZART (MOTSI) - drums vocals Currently Saltriver have 2more new songs. The band had applied twice for Eurovision with the song Nightman but they were not allowed to contest. However the same song later won first place in the British PULSERATED radiochart. At the moment Saltriver are working hard to record an album with the new members and planning performances in clubs in the capital as well asgigs throughout Bulgaria. The style of the group is defined as Alternative rock and some online publications compare Saltriver`s music with Seattle's sound in the 90`s. The group havetheir own sound.
