Local band South Shores has been chosen to perform at The Worlds Largest Music Festival Summerfest in Milwaukee WI on Friday July 1st. Having just released their new EP Reality Check the band is honored to be named to a short list of the Best Emerging Bands In The USA. They will perform on the US Cellular Stage as part of the Festivals Emerging Artist Series kicking off the holiday weekend. South Shores will be in fine company as legendary rockers Styx Third Eye Blind Los Lonely Boys Taj Mahal Los Lobos and Country Superstar Toby Keith all perform on the same day. South Shores features the bands founder and lead singer Sean Layton who lives in Ft. Worth with his fellow band mates. Layton says many people have helped the band get this far and we are especially are grateful to our fans for all of their support. Playing Summerfest is like a dream come true. You can see the band locally on June 11th when they return to Six Flags Over Texas for three shows and may pick up their new EP Reality Check on i-tunes.
