James Cody Hof aka Solid Dose was born in 1983 in heidleburg germany on the army base there. Dose is an army brat to an alcoholic workaolic father and a high strung southern mother who had a problem with taking pills. So naturally Dose was forced to move around the United States. His whole childhood was spent moving around having to make friends quickly and changing schools.Like being a skinny little white kid was hard enough. Music was the only thing Dose had that nevered changed and a gift to be really witty and sarcastic with his words. Dose was doing fine but when his parents divorced at the age of 9 was when things started to spiral downward for him. He went looking for a more solid family running with local trouble makers and shoplifting. It wasnt untill he moved out west to nevada that things really started to shape for him. Drinking partying selling and using drugs at 13 Dose was already the town knucklehead. But Dose graduated from highschool and was a full on alcoholic like his father. Dose went to the Air Force still searching for stability and what he wanted to do with his life and rapping was coming to mold to him having freestyle sessions with other friends and still partying was how it started. After leaving the Air Force because of marijuana use Dose moved back home and really got worse the drinking and weed selling got out of hand and got him a DUI two weeks after turning 21 and a felony drug posseion with the intent to deliver just 3 months later. After too many failed attempts at sobriety and alot of county jail visits because of the drinking and marijuana use Dose went to prison the first time when he was 22 and got out 9 months later then went back a second time at 24 were he spent 2 years. But during these times of incarceration Dose was getting a name for himself in the system as being a ruthless rhyme sayer. While in prison Dose gangbanged a little but knew he wanted to change his life and pursue what people were telling him he had........ potential in music. So after getting clean in prison he was released in Dec. 2009 and got enrolled into to CSN college in Las Vegas were he majors in Finance. Dose has been clean since Sep. 2008. Dose is currently doing shows at underground frat parties and works in ODM productions studios were he records in Las Vegas. Dose is getting along but knows there is nothing else for him other than a bright future with a dark past. So here he is Solid Dose.
