MC SWAGG was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. Since then he has relocated to south Florida where he now resides. At a very young age he realized he had a very strong love for music and poetry admiring artist such as Redman Icecube 2 pac Biggie and many more. By the time Rico was a teenager he was well known and very respected in his hometown as being one of the best battle rappers around. His name was getting out all over because of all his many Cleveland fans which were opening many doors and opportunities throughout the country. One of the many opportunities that Rico was offered was to do the very popular Smack dvd and Fight club rap battles. Not only was he offered to be in it but was also offered the money to put up. He respectfully declined because he wanted to be known as more than just a battle rapper. He had to look at the bigger picture and what would be better for his career long term and to focus on not just being known as a battle rapper but as a great song writer. MC SWAGG than took a while off just to focus on how he wants to be portrayed in the entertainment industry and focus on how to build not only his rap career but a brand. He has a fan base that loves his creative songs and story telling abilities. His catchy and sometimes humorous lyrics will keep you laughing and pressing repeat.
