ARTIST: PITTY DA KID
From the small town of Garyville LA hails what could be one of the biggest Hip-Hop Artist to emerge onto the scene in recent memory. Kirston Jarre’ Pittman (PittyDaKid) to his fans grew up the youngest of five boys. So as a child he was always battling for attention with his older brothers. At an early age Pitty would receive much more attention than he could handle as he excelled as a 3-Sport athlete growing up in Garyville playing baseball basketball and football. Although he was passionate at playing sports he found his love at the age of 13 when he was introduced to the art of writing music. Every since that time it has been his goals to become one of the biggest artist of his generation and at the same time have a much larger impact on people in a positive way.
At the age of 18 Pitty accepted a full-scholarship to Louisiana State University (LSU) to play football where he would become a 5-year Letterman and become the first 2-Time National Champion of the BCS ranks. He graduated in 2007 from LSU with a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts and Sciences a year early before his senior season. And in 2009 signed with the St. Louis Rams as a Rookie Free Agent excited about the opportunity to become a professional athlete. But during the 1st mini-camp in St. Louis with the Rams Pitty suffered an injury to his right achillies heel and would be sidelined for the entire 2009-2010 season. Although it was a major setback for the young ambitious Pitty he wouldn’t let that slow him down. Once he realized how much time would be on his hands he decided to moved to Atlanata GA for a few months and work on a Mixtape titled “Scars of Success”. The Mixtape includes 15 banging tracks like “Time is Now ft. Sky Keeton” “I Do That ft. Bobby V” and many more feel good tracks. He also remixed a few of the hottest songs on the airwaves today including “On To The Next One by Hip-Hop Legend Jay-Z” and “Over by Hip-Hop’s new phenomenon Drake”.
Upon the completion of the Mixtape Pitty started working with well established Producer “J-Mills” out of Atlanta’s Historical Noontime Studios. The first song they worked on was entitled “Wildin On Em” which is now the first single of the Mixtape “Scars of Success”. The song and video has been generating such a great buzz that the Mixtape has now been picked up to be released on iTunes on May 17th 2010. With the releasing of the Mixtape Pitty hopes to create a fan base and develop his brand as an all around artist and entertainer. Well-known as a very successful athlete he now strives to reach that same level of prominence in the music industry as he did in the sports industry. With ambition to die for and a will to succeed nothing will stop PittyDaKid from achieving a life long dream of being one of the greatest artist of his generation.
