Fat Freddys Cat (FFC) started out as a back-up band for the late singer/songwriter/guitarist and our friend Steve Harris. We were all club musicians and singers. He kinda recruited us to play backups for his first CD. After his premature death from cancer in 1999 we called the group the Steve Harris Band and played under that name until 2002 when some amicable personel changes took place. We took the name FFC (based on a character by Gilbert Shelton) for booking and advertising purposes. We play a mix of classic and southern rock with more than a little psychedelia thrown in. Basically we are a group of old rock warriors who grew weary of the bar band scene and decided to start writing and recording our own ideas. What you see and hear is from the heart and soul.
