In 2005 Arkansas native Greg McCuin walks in to a studio in Nashville TN to record his first song as a solo artist. After several years singing in bands with various creative differences all kinds of drama and career ing power struggles he decided to put the ball in his own court. He released his first CD titled “EMPTY” later in 2005 with Producer Yankton Mingua on Scarred Records (Nashvil...le) which with the genius management of Nikki Ingemi gained recognition in the mid-south with the single “Once Again” getting radio attention along with a dynamic tour managed by Birmingham Film Producer Joel Ramsey. In 2006 and several live shows later McCuin meets PosX a bass player originally from Los Angeles with 20+ years under his belt. After picking up a guitar player Pat Heaton and drummer Gary Henderson McCuin went in to the studio and recorded a second CD self-titled “McCuin” (Often called “the red album” by fans). With moderate success mainly because of the single “Broken” which was downloaded over 83000 times as a ringtone McCuin set out on a five state tour promoting the new record. After many shows and a lot of benefits McCuin took some time off.
In December of 2009 McCuin and his longtime loyal bass player PosX began working on a new set of songs with Chris “The Man” Moran Brad Porter and Bad Chad Lybrand. In March of 2010 McCuin released a CD called “Hollywood” on THENEXAGENCY (Nashville) and set out on a set of tour dates including shows with Warrant Jackyl The Nigel Dupree Band as well as a slew of others and after playing a show at The Whiskey A Go Go in West Hollywood were invited to be on the 2011 Crue Fest line up. McCuin is best known for his tireless fight against cancer playing countless benefits as well as donating time for fundraisers and has been recognized by The Make A Wish Foundation and The American Cancer Society for his advocacy in the fight against cancer and in 2011 McCuin was awarded the “HONOR BAND” award in Little Rock AR by Arkansas Rockstar Magazine for the “Save A Life Tour” for 13 year old Makenna Reanard from San Diego CA.
As of November 2011 McCuin will set out again on several more tour dates starting in Joplin MO to wrap up the “Hollywood Tour”. Joining McCuin and PosX on stage will be longtime friend and former McCuin guitar player from the 2008 tour Pat “THE PAT” Heaton renewing the line up from 2006-2009. The next addition to this old school line up will be a 15 year veteran drummer Angel Campbell from Billings Montana. She has been featured in many magazines and publications including national recognition for her ability in DRUM! magazine. Also with the addition of Russellville guitar monster Johnnie Hopgood who carries his own pungent flavor of backup vocals to the McCuin stage and under new Five Star Manager Judy Adams along with new Press Agent Heather Grabin the stage is set for an INTENSE last leg of this tour!!!
