Rockemical (Born. Avery Baker) is an independent hip hop/rap recording artist from Amarillo TX. Raised in Plainview TX Midwest City Ok Olympia WA Seattle WA and Casa Grande AZ it is no wonder why Rockemical’s style is so seasoned. In 2003 Rockemical released his first project “Paid Dues The Official Album” which was a group album Dualz released independently under Rockemical’s imprint Improvise Ent. The album took off immediately selling over 10000 units without any major backing or distribution. In 2005 Rockemical made what he calls his “Arizona Debut” at the Ghetto Government Hotel Pool Party performing in front of over 5000 people and over 20000 people in attendance. “The best thing was when Legendary Rapper M.C. Breed R.I.P came over to my room and showed his support after our performance. He was like “Yo ya’ll niggas is hot!” I will never forget that” says Rockemical. This opened up some major outlets for Rockemical and he followed up with a few mixtape releases performing all over Arizona and Southern California. In 2007 Rockemical released his first solo album “Grand New”. Again Rockemical hit the streets performing anywhere and everywhere. “Grand New” went on to sell over 5000 units and is still selling to this day. “As far as online sales we sell more cd’s and downloads overseas than we do in our own country –imagine that!” Then in 2009 Rockemical released his critically acclaimed mixtape “Grande Grindin Getting Money” with veteran Dj Dj Fes One out of Seattle WA. This was the beginning of something special as Rockemical and Dj Fes One joined forces (Improvise Ent/Fes Music). The mixtape “Grande Grinding Getting Money” went on to sell over 7000 units and is still currently selling to this day. Rockemical has been featured in Xpoz Magazine Casa Grande Dispatch Trill Talk Radio and various other publications and internet radio shows. Enjoying the independent success and wanting to venture out Rockemical raised the bar and opened his own Clothing/Music Store Grande Central The Hip Hop Shop in Casa Grande AZ. “Being a young black man and just surrounded by the struggle I wanted to show my people we can do something different and try to give back a little bit.” This became the talk of the town and solidified Rockemical as not only an independent artist but as a business man. Currently Rockemcial is wrapping up his new album “Tha Life” which he is currently shopping for distribution in order to step outside of his current region (South West). Rockemcial released the first official single and video off the album “The Best Around”. He just finished shooting two more videos and have an additional two videos scheduled in the near future. “This album is undeniably my best work yet recorded at xenocide studios in Tucson AZ. I just finally got to do it my way without any limitations. I got all the features I wanted and the production is just crazy.” Rockemical says plans are in the works to schedule the official release date and that the official announcement will be coming soon.
