Andre Truitt known as K.O.D. is a South Dakota native that performs and writes hip hop music. His clean and no vulgar language has been compared to greats such as L.L. Cool j and Will Smith. His high Energy shows is compared to that of Lil jon with lyrics that sometimes have the compassion of the late tupac. Starting out in 2002 K.O.D has done everything from receiving radio air play independently to charting on billboards Dma top 200 singles. He has also ran the small Bigg Dogg Records imprint with the help of partner and brother Sherman (Bigg Sherm) Blanden. Which rosters producer/writer/performing artist C-Nice-1 artist Lil Dy-no-mite and texas writer/performing artist Cp The Great. In a city of 89000 mostly non hip hop music lovers his label has sold well over 4000 out of trunk and some in store. K.O.D. has open for many national artist including Lil jon who sponsors him with his energy drink Crunk. In the past the label has promoted their own shows which brought Bubba Sparxxx’s to South Dakota. His music was on the soundtrack of an independent flim which he played a role and was flimed per forming on a national scale on Tru-Tv’s show The Full Throttle. So what’s next for K.O.D.? currently the artist is working on a new album and bringing national attension to South Dakota in hopes of a distribution deal. My guess…with the drive like that a star will be born.
